It began with a…soy sauce?
Nodame being Nodame can be unrefined when it comes to certain things, such as the French cuisine for instance. As she was about to relish Chiaki’s usual home-cooked French cuisine, she had to pour soy sauce on it. At the very moment she began eating, Chiaki flew into a rage implying that she had just insulted the food that he made when she poured soy sauce on top of the special sauce that he had made.
Just at the right moment, Nodame received a call from Lucas who invited her to a date with him on the following day and at the heat of their argument, she accepted the invitation. Chiaki who was obviously burning with jealousy convinced himself that Lucas is nothing more than a kid and with that in mind, he slipped into a deep sleep on the couch.
The next day…
To his “horror”, Lucas is anything but a kid. In actual, he is a full-grown 16-year-old who could have passed off for a 20-year-old man. So as to add more fuel to the fire, Tanya said that in the end, Lucas is still a Frenchman.
With the new revelation, Chiaki however recovered quickly and started humming saying that he too, has got a date on that day. And as it turned out, his date was his cousin, Yuuko who came visiting from Japan.
While Nodame is on her “date”…
she received an email (or text message) from Tanya saying that she saw him leaving for a date with a female companion and within seconds, she got up to her feet and rushed off before “things get any worse” with Lucas tagging along behind her. Lol.
When Lucas met Yuuko…
Nodame got there just in time as Chiaki and his companion were about to leave for their “date”. Lucas who was behind her is obviously smitten with Yuuko the moment he laid his eyes on her for the first time and for the first time, his infatuation did not go unreciprocated (he had a thing for Nodame who seems oblivious about it).
Chiaki has got a sister-complex?
Well, technically, Yuuko is not his younger sister but still, they looked like a pair of sibling. Lol. The part where Chiaki followed Yuuko on her date with Lucas was hilarious. I wouldn’t have thought of the stoic Chiaki to be the doting type.
Now I know why Chiaki has this demonic look on him at the beginning of the episode. LOL! I had thought that it could have been because of Nodame but as it turns out, I was wrong. An entertaining albeit short (approx. 11 minutes) episode nonetheless.
